Turkey Day and the Annual Christmas Picture Outing

For Thanksgiving, Nate's sister came from CA and Nate's parents came from AZ. We enjoyed four days together here in Denver. Highlights included actual Thanskgiving dinner with our friends Pat and Krissy and 18 people, putting up the Christmas tree and we celebrated Christmas. The highlight is ALWAYS Sundance opening presents:

Today (Sunday) we went up to the mountains for a few hours to help Pat and Krissy put together their Christmas picture which is supposed to be their dog Heidi pulling their baby Halina on a sled. However, we thought the blog world might be more interested in this picture with the entire family!

AND, while we were up there, we took a picture of our little family as well. We hope you like it.

OK, and FINALLY, we want to send some blog shout-outs to our great comment posters!! JANET! AARON!! and ALLISON!!! Thanks for all the great comments on our make and bake blog!!

Make or Bake?

It's a Make or Bake Christmas at the Price house this year!

For those of you who haven't been part of a Make or Bake in the past (this includes us) you have to make or bake your gift. I'm very interested to see how this idea works out. It's an extra challenge for all of us!

Following family tradition we drew names. Nate has Carrie and I have Aaron. Now, we're both resourceful people, but making or baking a Christmas gift has thrown us for a loop! I have to give props to Kristen, because every gift idea we can think of she has made in the last several years!

We're determined to plan ahead on this one - no macaroni necklaces made the night before for Carrie or Aaron! So...this past weekend we headed to the store we swore we wouldn't go into for years after our wedding...Michael's. Yup, that's right Michael's aka wedding and craft world galore.

I obviously can't divulge too much information in this posting, but Carrie & Aaron, get excited, very excited! But to everyone else reading this, we struggle! Any ideas we can make or bake, and take on plane???

We promise a blog shout out to anyone who submits an idea! This is also a test to see if people actually read this :)

Halloween 2007

Laura and I spent our first Halloween together as a couple of marrieds. Seeing as how Halloween was on Wednesday, we stayed in and handed out candy to the kiddies. We kept our fingers crossed that not very many kids would come and we could keep the candy (or at least I was). However, we got quite a few kids. I think that it probably had something to do with the awesome jack-o-lanterns that we carved. See the pictures below of our great jack-o-lanterns.
