Make or Bake?

It's a Make or Bake Christmas at the Price house this year!

For those of you who haven't been part of a Make or Bake in the past (this includes us) you have to make or bake your gift. I'm very interested to see how this idea works out. It's an extra challenge for all of us!

Following family tradition we drew names. Nate has Carrie and I have Aaron. Now, we're both resourceful people, but making or baking a Christmas gift has thrown us for a loop! I have to give props to Kristen, because every gift idea we can think of she has made in the last several years!

We're determined to plan ahead on this one - no macaroni necklaces made the night before for Carrie or Aaron! So...this past weekend we headed to the store we swore we wouldn't go into for years after our wedding...Michael's. Yup, that's right Michael's aka wedding and craft world galore.

I obviously can't divulge too much information in this posting, but Carrie & Aaron, get excited, very excited! But to everyone else reading this, we struggle! Any ideas we can make or bake, and take on plane???

We promise a blog shout out to anyone who submits an idea! This is also a test to see if people actually read this :)

I better not be getting any fluffy wedding craft crap. Manly gifts only!! =) Just kidding. I am already excited to see the creative gifts people come up with. I will also plan to fast for 3 days leading up to christmas so the "bake" part of make or bake can be truly appreciated.

Kristen and I are in the same loop of a thought pattern you guys were because I keep coming up with the same gifts she or I have made in the past. For some examples: I made her a life-sized "Aaron-doll," carved her a wooden heart, made breakfast in bed. She baked cookies, made rice packs, made a guitar learning binder, sewed a bathrobe, and made a "box-o-fun." I am sure there are many more I cannot think of right now. See you next week!!

Looks like you're going to be giving a lot of shoutouts to people on your blog.

Make Aaron a life-size peaches to set by his game cube for when he plays Mario Kart.

I want a shout-out.
